Turkey is a rapidly growing energy consumer in the relative territory. On account of increasing energy need in the world and especially in our region, Maya Petrol also concerns about the investments for energy.

To evaluate the current attractive investment conditions, Maya Petrol has decided to enter into the power plant investment in different regions with strategic partners. For this reason, we are in an investment of combined cycle natural gas fired power plant with 2x242 MW gas turbines. The plant will be located in the Thrace Region (Marmara Ereğlisi) (Northwest side of Turkey), a very safe area only 100 km far from Istanbul and not far from Bulgarian and Greek border and the second plant will be located at South Marmara Region (Bandırma) which is a growing industrial area.

Furthermore, Maya Petrol is also looking for gas exploration and energy investments at neighborhood countries with strong partners to respond the energy needs of the region. For this reason, Maya Petrol is willing to take part in energy investments in Syria together with strong partners in terms of engineering and financing of the investments. Considering the needs of Syria and the concerned area, it is planned to build combined cycled power plants -- one of them 450 MW and the other one is 850MW.

Maya Group is a strong candidate for a thermal power plant privatization project outside of Turkey. Regarding the project development process, there are hydro power plants projects within the national borders. Two of these projects are outside Turkey as a new construction type of project.
